With the aim of jointly promoting sports, tourism and culture in the regions and nationalities of Atlantic Europe. The best way of doing so is by competing in those specialities with closest ties to the sea.
They emerged fruit of the will of a number of European regions in the Atlantic Arc to promote nautical activities through an international competition for young people : The Atlantic Games.
Every year, in the month of July, between 500 and 800 young competitors from 5 countries and approaching 20 regions come together for a week to compete. . The level of the Games grows in each edition, bringing together the best representatives from each of the competing nautical sports federations from the Atlantic Space. This competition is a meeting point and a unique international sporting event involving different sporting categories, classes and distances.
Atlantic games are mainly a place where competitors meet, discover other cultures and could face other enthusiastic people. Each competitor represents and defends his region.
Atlantic games are also a regional union during a week. They are the results of a local will and proud. Each competitors can discover an other place, other cultures and learn to like new places.
